Etsy fee calculator
Every fee Etsy takes on one sale, including the ones most calculators get wrong: the $100 cap on Offsite Ads, the 2026 regulatory fees, and Etsy’s habit of rounding the item and shipping fees separately. Add your material costs to see what you really keep.
Etsy fees total $4.06 on this order.
That was one order.
MakerMargin does this for every order in the export Etsy already gives you — in seconds, with the Offsite Ads cap and your real material costs — and ranks your products by what they pay you per hour.
Rates verified September 2026 against Etsy’s published fee schedule. Estimates only — your monthly Etsy statement is the final word.
Your whole shop, costed automatically
MakerMargin reads the order file Etsy already exports and does this for every sale at once — per product, per month, with your materials included and a tax-ready year-end summary. Import your file and see your last 30 days free, no card needed.

Etsy fees, explained
How much does Etsy take per sale?
On a US sale Etsy takes a $0.20 listing fee, a 6.5% transaction fee on the item price plus the shipping you charge, and payment processing of 3% + $0.25 on the order total. If the sale came through Offsite Ads, add 12% or 15% of the order. On a $32 item with $6 shipping that's about $4.06, or roughly 11% of what the buyer paid.
Do Etsy fees apply to shipping?
Yes. The 6.5% transaction fee applies to the shipping you charge as well as the item price, and payment processing applies to the whole order total including sales tax. Etsy bills the item and the shipping as separate fee lines and rounds each one on its own, which is why a single 6.5% calculation can be a cent off.
Is the Offsite Ads fee really capped?
Yes — Etsy caps the Offsite Ads fee at $100 per order. The rate is 15%, dropping to 12% once your shop has made $10,000 in any 365-day period, and at that point the ads become mandatory. Most calculators miss the cap, which badly overstates fees on expensive orders.
What is the regulatory operating fee?
A percentage Etsy charges sellers in certain countries, including the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Turkey and India. It's charged on the item price plus shipping. The rates changed in June 2026, so older calculators still use the previous ones.
