MakerMargin (“we”, “us”) is a profit-tracking tool for handmade sellers, operated as a sole proprietorship. This policy describes what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Email address — when you create an account. Used to contact you about MakerMargin; never sold.
- Usage and advertising data — we use Google Ads conversion tracking, which sets cookies to measure whether ad clicks lead to signups. See Google’s privacy policy for how Google processes this data.
- Your shop data — the Etsy order, order-item and monthly-statement CSVs you upload, and the material costs you enter. From the order files we keep only order numbers, dates, amounts, item names, SKUs and the ship-to country. Buyer names, usernames, email addresses, street addresses and payment methods that appear in Etsy’s export are never stored — the file is read once on our server and discarded (verified against the import code, 2 October 2026). This data is yours: we use it only to show you your own numbers, you can export it anytime, and deleting your account deletes it. We never sell it or use it to train anything.
- Site analytics — Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and a few button clicks without cookies and without storing personal information.
Who processes data for us
- MailerLite — stores the email list and sends our emails
- Vercel — hosts the site and application, and runs the cookieless site analytics
- Neon — the database that stores your shop data
- Clerk — sign-in and account management
- Google — advertising conversion measurement
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, and its payment providers — process payments; we never see or store card numbers
Your choices
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@getmakermargin.com, and we’ll act on it within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we’ll note it here and email account holders.
